SBX Firmware Changelog

All notable changes to the SBX Solar Charger Module Firmware will be documented in this file.

The format is based on Keep a Changelog, and this project adheres to Semantic Versioning.

Versions marked with UPDATE! should not be used anymore.

[4.2.0] - 2021-12-28

  • Added compatibility for he new external battery boxes (BBX55)
  • Minor Bugfixes including faster start of radar mainboard

[4.1.1] - 2021-08-30

Power input monitoring has been disabled for Li-ION models to allow operation w/o solar panel attached.

[4.1.0] - 2021-08-20

Changed the LED signalisation to show the battery initialization phase. During initialization the battery will be charged once:

  • NiMH models up to 8.1V
  • Li-ION models up to 7.4V

Changes internal memory update interval. Pressing the button now instantely turns on LEDs

Complete rewrite of the SBX firmware

  • Increased stability
  • Additional supervision mechanisms that resets the device if no sun for more than 2 days
  • Simplified LED signalisation
  • Dynamic charging current limiter depending on the temperature. (slower charing when hot temperatures)

Minor quality issue found. Update to 4.0.1 if possible.
